Fall might be my favorite time of the year. When I think of Fall, I think of warm sweaters, coming home from school to my mom's home-made banana bread, and sipping hot cider. Ruby had described her wedding to me, and I knew it was going to turn out beautiful, but when I arrived to the venue, I still could not believe how amazing it was. It is VERY risky to have a fall wedding outside, and because of this, I rarely ever get to do them. But the payout for taking the risk is huge. And of course, it did turn out to be a rainy morning on the day of Ruby's wedding. While Ruby was getting ready inside, it was raining all over the tables outside. But, like magic, the rain cleared up right when we walked outside to take a few photos before the ceremony, and it was clear all day.

Have you ever smelled aspen trees when it rains? I dream about the smell in my sleep. The smell of hot cider filled the air for what seemed like miles. The combination was truly amazing. It was a little chilly, so everyone bundled up in their coats and stood by the fire. But it was not too cold to play games, dance, or play fetch with the groom's dog. This wedding was truly perfect, and is such a great memory for me.

  1. Wow! The black and white full length veil kissing shot and the 4th from last umbrella and golden aspen shot are iconic. Always love your work.
