So this was my brother's wedding that took place last summer. I had so much fun photographing the event, even though it was a crazy day! My husband actually made all of the macarones and ginger snaps. With both of us working, it was a crazy event, but everything turned out so amazing! I loved that Maddie chose to have her ceremony in the middle of the woods, with old chairs that she collected. Then the reception was held in a park that is up Provo Canyon. In looking at venues, Maddie was really having a tough time deciding where to have her wedding. She really wanted a forrest but she needed access to electricity and restrooms. She was able to rent out a pavilion from the city of Provo, which the caterers used. Then she used the rest of the park to set up her tent, and for her ceremony. Although the entire park was not technically rented out to her, she put up signs saying it was a private event, and the public kept away. If you are wanting to have your wedding outdoors in the wilderness, you could really have your wedding on ANY property that is state-owned without having to even pay a fee. However, you do risk the public showing up. But if you put up signs, and have your wedding in a relatively secluded area where the public doesn't usually go, you shouldn't have any issues at all! I know of some great locations like this that I've been dying to see a wedding at!
